  • Mixer to assemble and bind: put the pieces of avocado in the bowl of the mixer, add the lemon juice (quantity according to your taste).
  • Then you have to peel the onion, cut it in four and put it in the blender.

Nutritional deficiencies and anemia

With its nutritional richness, spirulina is one of the few foods that can present itself as the most complete. Spirulina has the power to fight malnutrition and anemia.
The proteins, iron and vitamins it contains allow it to rebalance a so-called deficient diet. Its consumption promotes an increase in the average corpuscular hemoglobin concentration as well as the level of white blood cells in the body.

It is possible for you to rebalance the nutritional contributions by introducing a few doses of powdered spirulina into your recipes.

In the context of a food rebalancing cure, spirulina will fill the deficiencies, but be careful not to overdose. It is preferable to respect a progression in the cure. For example, we start the cure with a consumption of 1g the first days before using doses of 2g.

By the way, can you identify your anemia situation yourself? Here are some of the symptoms of anemia (variable depending on the individual, age, etc.):
– paleness, clearly visible on the inside of the eyelids, on the nails and lips;
– shortness of breath on exertion and then at rest;
– persistent fatigue;
– dizziness, vertigo (weakness when getting up from a chair, feeling dizzy);
– headache ;
– palpitations;
– difficulty concentrating, remembering, reading, lack of motivation, energy;

Spiru-Quinoa Patties

This recipe has the advantage of offering you protein pancakes that are suitable for a vegetarian and gluten-free diet (beware of sesame allergies).

To make 4 patties, you are going to need on your countertop to have:

– 1/2 white onion
– 60 g of quinoa flakes
– 2 tablespoons of whole blond sesame seeds (toasted without salt)
– 125 ml of milk (buffalo)
– 2 small eggs (or 1 large)
– 1 tsp of curry
– salt and pepper
– 2 tsp of spirulina

Preparation of the recipe :

  • Start by peeling and finely chopping the white onion.
  • In a salad bowl, pour the milk over the quinoa flakes, then add
    – the chopped onion,
    – eggs,
    – sesame seeds
    – the curry before salt and pepper.
  • Mix everything together with a wooden spoon and let stand for at least an hour in the refrigerator (middle shelf).

Make your pancakes:

  • Take the preparation and it is now that we can add the spirulina and mix everything to have a uniform appearance and color.
  • In a non-stick, hot and lightly oiled pan, pour four piles of dough that you will flatten as you go with a wooden spatula to give the shape to the 4 patties.
  • For 6 to 7 minutes over low heat, you must let the dough set in solidity and refine the shape.
  • The next step is to stop cooking, and gently turn the patties over, letting them finish cooking on the second side using the residual heat from the pan for a few minutes.

You will be able to feast as a duo. Indeed the quantities indicated made it possible to make 4 pancakes for 2 people.
Spiru-quinoa pancakes are best eaten hot.
